The Donut Dash this year raised over $7500 for the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh! Check out the results!

About the Event

The event is an epic race that traces the perimeter of the university, benefiting the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Last year's race resulted in a $10,000 donation, thanks to our strong-stomached runners and generous sponsors.

Participants run 1 mile to the donut distribution location where they take a break to quickly eat a couple donuts. Those in the casual division, the majority of competitors, eat as few or as many donuts as they want before running another mile to the finish line. However, the truly hardcore must finish 12 donuts, individually or as a team of 3, before they are allowed to finish.

After the race, prizes will be awarded to the top finishers, in addition to a raffle with a wide array of prizes. All proceeds will go to the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. In other words, stuffing yourself on donuts is for the children.
